Email messages

When a genuine email from us contains a link, we use the full website address so you can clearly see where it leads.

Before following a link:

  • Make sure the website address is genuine.
  • Never enter Online Banking, card or security details after following an unexpected email link.

Pause before you act

Ask yourself:

  • Was the call or message unexpected?
  • Am I being pressured to act urgently?
  • Am I being asked for card, account or security details?
  • Does the website address look unusual?
  • Is the caller trying to prevent me from hanging up?
  • Does the offer seem too good to be true?

If you are unsure, stop the conversation and contact the organisation using a telephone number you have sourced independently.
